Building the infrastructure layer for AI agents
Axis is a small team building open tools for developers who work with AI agents. We started with a simple frustration: connecting AI agents to real-world data required maintaining a mess of API keys, auth flows, and vendor contracts. There had to be a better way.
MCP is the right abstraction.
A common protocol means tools built by anyone work with any agent — Claude, GPT-4, a 3B model running locally, whatever comes next. Our job is to make that ecosystem as easy to use and contribute to as possible: a marketplace where anyone can publish a server, open-source tooling with no lock-in, and honest software that doesn't over-promise.
A community-driven marketplace for MCP servers. Browse and connect to servers built by the community and by us — one API key handles auth for everything. Anyone can publish a server.
Learn moreA free CLI that keeps a local registry of MCP servers and syncs them into Claude Desktop, Cursor, and Windsurf with one command.

We're a small team of developers who got tired of the same infrastructure problems showing up on every AI project. Axis started as internal tooling and grew into something we thought was worth sharing.
The axis CLI and MCP marketplace are open source. We build in the open because that's how good infrastructure gets built.
