Orbit is an early-stage community project exploring whether the gap between small local models and frontier AI is partly an engineering problem. A two-phase agent loop makes a 3B model measurably more reliable for everyday coding tasks — search, explanation, targeted edits. It won't replace GPT-4 today. That's what we're working toward, together.
